Chennai

Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu, is one of India’s oldest and most vibrant metropolitan cities—where tradition and modernity coexist seamlessly. With a history that traces back to the colonial era and deep roots in Dravidian culture, the city has evolved into a dynamic urban centre while retaining its distinctive identity. Known for its rich cultural heritage, Chennai is a hub for classical music, Bharatanatyam dance, and traditional art forms. The city is also home to historic temples, colonial architecture, and a long, scenic coastline along the Bay of Bengal, including the iconic Marina Beach—one of the longest urban beaches in the world.

At the same time, Chennai is a thriving commercial, healthcare, and technology hub, often referred to as the “Detroit of India” for its automobile industry and a leader in medical tourism and IT services. With well-developed infrastructure, a cosmopolitan yet culturally grounded atmosphere, and strong connectivity by air, rail, and road, Chennai is well-equipped to host national and international events—offering visitors both convenience and a rich, immersive experience of South India.
